Breastfeeding and Travel:
It’s been a few years since I’ve had a baby. I still remember the time and research it took for me to understand the dos and don’ts of breastfeeding on a plane. I also had to learn how to navigate the rules of traveling with breast milk. When I traveled with my 1 year old daughter internationally 7 years ago the only thing on my mind once I got to the airport was making sure she was fed. I also wanted to make sure she was comfortable and safe while we were flying. This included being aware of earaches she might experience during our flight.
Providing my daughter with essential nutrients while I was breastfeeding meant I needed to be sure to take my own vitamins. If breastfeeding isn’t an option or choice for you, I think it’s important to understand the rules of traveling with formula. You don’t want to mix the formula before going through security.
