Looking for a Brunch Spot?
I love brunch all year around but especially in spring. One of my favorite places to enjoy brunch has to be New Haven, CT. I know New Haven is usually known for Yale University but there’s much more to do there than study. Some of the best restaurants I’ve dined at are located there, including Zagat rated restaurants. Pacifico:
I’ve written about Pacifico in the past and confess it’s one of my favorite restaurants in New Haven. Check out the menu for what they have to offer. This Spanish style restaurant has the usual tapas and sangria but it’s their unique items that are my favorite, including the seafood and corn chowder. I always enjoy the duck quesadillas and caramelized salmon with a few cocktails. This is one place you will come back to over and over again. A worthy brunch spot in the middle of New Haven.

Bella’s Cafe:
I have two things to say about Bella’s Cafe. The first thing is, there is always a line out the door and the second thing is, the food is amazing. Bella’s is the place you go for brunch with friends or the family. They have outdoor dining space as well as a dining room inside that is very cozy. The French toast topped with fruit and whipped cream along with scrambled eggs topped with shrimp were my all time favorites here for brunch. Bella’s is located in the Westville section of New Haven and worth a visit for sure.
Crepes Choupette:
As a lover of delicious treats like crepes and keeping with my love of French dining, I had to add Crepes Choupette to my list of favorite places for brunch. The options range from sweet to savory with options to choose from when it comes to your fillings. Add some coffee and hot chocolate to top everything off in a lovely way.
Union League Cafe:
Visiting Union League Cafe is like walking into a different place and time. As one of the premier restaurants in New Haven, I’ve enjoyed eating here for years. I recently had brunch there and was impressed with the food and customer service. From the savories to the sweets, the French style dining experience was everything I wanted and more. Union League has to be one of my favorite brunch spots ever. Check out their menu for more delicious items.
Elm City Social:
After being hesitant to visit Elm City Social for years I finally made it there to have brunch and it was a pleasant surprise. There was a list of options to choose from when it came to drinks. I skipped my usual mimosas here and had an aperol spritz. The chicken and waffles were a treat as well as the breakfast taco. It’s definitely worth heading back for another visit.
September in Bangkok:
This restaurant was the unique dining experience I didn’t know I needed. Visiting September in Bangkok in New Haven is like being on a vacation for a few hours. The seafood at this restaurant has to be the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere and customer service combined makes it a little getaway right in the heart of New Haven. It’s an unconventional brunch spot but an amazing brunch spot worth visiting if you’re in the area.
