Why I Love a Summer Picnic:

I honestly can not get enough of a summer picnic. There is something about sitting on a blanket in a park on the grass, eating, reading and relaxing. There is something elegant about eating on a blanket with fine china and a glass of champagne. This summer I made it a quest to have a few picnics every month. I accomplished this by having a picnic wherever and whenever I could. Whether it was in the house, in the backyard or at the local park, I had the best time being with my children.

Not Just About the Food:

A relaxing picnic is not just about food. You want to bring a good book with you to read. Looking up at the sky and trees can be enjoyable, you might even fall asleep and have a quick nap, but a book can wrap your picnic up in a way that reminds you of the beauty of slow summer days. Although there wasn’t much to celebrate in 2020, I have to say spending time with family is something I’ve been able to treasure and something I wouldn’t trade for anything.
