Our Room:
Our room at Le Dauphin Quebec was very comfortable. It was the perfect room for a family of 3 to 4. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was modern, it was everything and more that I look for in a good hotel. One of the best features of the room has to be the microwave and refrigerator. This gives you the opportunity to save money by buying groceries and snacks rather than eating out at restaurants for every meal. The room also features a comfy chair and a desk with a computer and internet access.
The Pool:
The pool area was perfect for the children. There was also several sprinklers. The best part were the unlimited towels provided. There was also a little playroom next to the pool area for younger children to play.
The Food:
Breakfast was included with our hotel stay. Although it wasn’t continental breakfast, for a meal on a budget it was not the worst thing I’ve eaten. They offered waffles, beans, eggs, breads of different varieties and yogurt. They also had vending machines in the lobby, but there was nothing in either of them that was appetizing to me or my children. What I did like was the unlimited beverages they offered through our stay. The hotel provides water, juice and coffee in the beverage machine in the lobby 24/7.
Final Thoughts:
Overall we enjoyed our visit at the Dauphin, customer service was great. The facility was modern and comfortable. Although it was a few miles from Old Quebec City it was in a convenient location next to the highway where Old Quebec City was only a few exits away. The area also has a lot of restaurants and stores like Walmart. I can also say customer service was a big positive for me. The hotel staff members were very helpful. They also provide visitors with information on getting into the city along with the best locations to park. Definitely worth a stay if you are on a budget and looking for a kid-friendly place to stay.
