Fall in Love with Firenze:
Looking for a cozy Bed and Breakfast in Florence, Le Casine is the perfect place for you and your family. I say “family” but this place is perfect for couples and small groups. We traveled as a family, so I’m here to share this Bed and Breakfast from our perspective. I’ll be honest, my husband wasn’t a fan of this place, but I thought it was perfect. From the location to the dining options in the area, I don’t think you can any better at slow travel than this unless you stay with family and friends.
We stayed at Le Casine with my two children and my step-daughter. That’s five of us in a loft style apartment that came with charm and lots of privacy. Located just outside of the Firenze city center. You can get there on foot which can take about an hour or you can get there by train on a short ride just 10 minutes from Santa Maria Novella railway station, getting off at Campo di Marte.

The Room:
I spent months trying to find a hotel that would accommodate the entire family. With five of us my step daughter would most likely have to book a separate room. So when I found this Le Casine I was excited we would all be in the same place at least for the first leg of the trip. Although we were booked for a room, this room came with a children’s room that had bunk beds. The larger bed was in the open space with a loft above. This meant we would all be together but not have to share beds. The apartment-like space was very spacious and modern. There is heat and a/c available along with a television. There are three rooms available in the entire B&B. This one worked perfectly for my family I would definitely visit again.
The Bathroom:
The bathroom was clean and organized. Towels were provided, upon arrival. Additional towels could be requested when the housekeeper was on the property. Shampoo and conditioner, along with soap and a blow dryer was also provided. A standing shower and double sinks made the bathroom seem modern and efficient for large families.
The Food:
There were endless options for food and drinks in the area that were within a 5 minute walk of the Bed and Breakfast. But as this is a B&B, I’m sure you’re interested in the types of breakfast items you get when staying here. Breakfast is provided next door in the restaurant associated with the B&B. They provide a welcoming spread every morning. Each day you have a choice of cereal, cakes, breads with and assortment of meats and cheeses along with fresh fruit and yogurt. My children looked forward to breakfast each morning, wondering what new cake they would get to try.
Our Views:
The rooms also come with a view. This was exactly what I was looking for in a Bed and Breakfast. Every time I sat out on the balcony I felt like I was somewhat a part of the community. Every window that faced our balcony was someones home. I loved the voices I heard in the morning, and the clothes lines set up to dry clothes in the sun. It felt like less of a vacation and more of an opportunity to be a part of a small Italian community.
