Afternoon Tea in London:
The experience of having afternoon tea in London was something I had been looking forward to for years. I wanted to try it everywhere. From tea time on the big double decker bus to luxury tea rooms with champagne toasts. Visiting Candella Tea Room was at the top of my list of places to visit first. The outdoor seating was perfect. The menu items and tea were displayed perfectly and tasted just as great. It’s definitely one of the places that is a must see when you come to London.
Tea in the Country:
Heading to the Cotswolds and visiting the little country shops and villages was an experience I needed to have before leaving England. At the top of this list was visiting several tea rooms in the Cotswolds. One of my favorites ahs to be Lucy’s Tea Room. This small, quaint tea room with the beatuly Cotswold stone on the outside is the perfect coutnry tea room you have been waiting for. The atmonstphere and the food cou,d not be beat. It was so lovely I ate there more thna once. Be sure to arrive early as these locations are very popylar with tourisits on the weekends.
Tea on a Rainy Day in Bath:
On a rainy day in March I had the pleasure of taking the train from London to Bath. After exploring the beautiful streets and architecture of this ancient city, I was able to have tea at the Jane Austen Center in the Regency style tea room. The atmosphere was low-key and very traditional. Looking out the window at the rainy street and wet buildings. I enjoyed sipping my hot tea and having my scones. At moments looking out the window, I even felt like I was taken back to the period of Jane Austen.
Luxury Afternoon Tea at Fortums & Mason:
Fortums & Mason is the epitome of luxury tea. The tea room is located on the top floor of the building. When you get off of the elevator you are greeted with gold hanging decorations and a grand piano when you arrive. The staff were very welcoming and were very attentive to the needs of each patron. The choices seemed like they were endless when it came to the types of tea you could choose from. The unique desserts, the scones and the sandwiches were made with quality ingredients and very delicious. To top it all off you can mix and match your afternoon tea options. If you are looking to have a luxury tea-time experience in London it is important you book Fortnum and Mason ahead of your visit to London.
