I personally didn’t believe the Firenze Card was the right investment for me or my family while we were in Florence. But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be worth it for someone else. I decided to put together a thorough breakdown of what would be included with the Firenze Card, how long it would last and how much it will cost.
Firenze Card:
Why Do I Need It?
Visiting Florence for less than a week and traveling solo, this card definitely for you. Getting the card can certainly improve your experience in Florence. Especially if you are heading to Florence to experience the historical art museums. Although children under 18 are free with an adult who has purchased the card. This doesn’t mean it will be a cost effective one if you’ll be traveling with the entire family. It’s important to think about how long the visit will be and exactly what you want to see and do the most. Remember there are 72 museums that are affiliates of the card. The card also offers opportunities to experience exhibitions and events around the city.

The card can be purchased online Here! It an also be purchased at several points around the city. This includes purchasing it at Santa Maria Novella train station. Coming into the city by train getting the Firenze Card in Santa Maria Novella before heading to a hotel or hostel would make things easier if you need to transfer using public transportation like the tram or the bus.
